Go, gadget: 5 relevant open source projects

December 11, 2009 in the journal «Make» was presented the Uzeboxconsole, which you can solder any radio amateur.

The idea of the project is owned by a group of scientists from Stanford. FrankenCamera is a open source cam opens vast opportunities for enthusiasts to all kinds of ideas.

The device is running a special Linuxdistribution. And the user can set the camera to all kinds of applications, like a Smartphone.  This idea was supported by a number of large companies such as Nokia, Adobe Systems, Kodak and HP.

iCub is a humanoid robot, which is owned by a consortium of The RobotCub Project. The main objective was the implementation of a common platform for all interested humanoid community.

At the moment there are only about 20 models of the iCub, each of which is worth around 250 million euros. The growth of the robot is 104 centimeters and weighs 22 kg.
